Missing Middle Summit: Development Advice

In June 2024 I spoke at the Missing Middle Summit at the Toronto Reference Library, alongside Buildstack. The talk covers the history of Blue Lion Building — how an architecture practice ended up holding the drawings, the construction and the development risk at the same time — and what that vantage point suggests for anyone trying to get missing middle housing actually built.

It is the most complete account of the practice I have given in public, and most of what is in the archive since started as an argument in this room.
